Major Action in J&K: Lieutenant Governor Dismisses 3 Employees for Terror Links
Srinagar (The Uttam Hindu): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has dismissed 3 government employees of the state due to terror links. Among them is a police constable Firdous Bhatt, who used to work for Lashkar while he was in the police.
3 government employees dismissed due to terror link, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir took major action: The Lieutenant Governor dismissed 3 government employees including a police constable, a teacher and a forest department orderly. All three employees are in jail in different terrorism-related cases. This major action was taken a day after the security review meeting chaired by the Lieutenant Governor.
In the meeting, the Lieutenant Governor had directed the police and security agencies to intensify anti-terrorism operations to neutralise terrorists and the terror machinery behind the scenes. The Lieutenant Governor had also said that those supporting and financing terrorism will have to pay a very heavy price. On February 13 last, Manoj Sinha had said that "every criminal and supporter of terrorism will have to pay the price for it.
