Live-In Relationship Turns Deadly: Woman Found Dead in Forest Months After Murder
Chattisgarh (The Uttam Hindu): A chilling crime has come to light in Chhattisgarh's Surajpur district, where a 35-year-old woman, Seema Pando, was murdered by her live-in partner, Chandrika Prasad Rajwade. After killing her, Rajwade buried her body in a nearby forest. The crime remained unsolved for 10 months until Rajwade confessed, leading the police to recover her skeletal remains.
Seema, who had been living with Rajwade in their village, was reported missing by her father, Sohr Lal Pando, after she suddenly disappeared. A missing person’s report was filed at the Khadgawan Police Station. However, Seema's disappearance took a darker turn when it was revealed that her father, Sohr Lal Pando, had also been missing for the past seven months, adding to the mystery.
Upon investigating, police suspected Rajwade and detained him for questioning. During interrogation, Rajwade admitted to killing Seema, claiming he was driven by suspicions of her involvement in an illicit relationship. He revealed that he had buried her body in a forest.
The skeletal remains recovered from the forest have been sent for a post-mortem examination to confirm Seema’s identity and cause of death. The case has brought attention to the Pando community, known as the "adopted children of the President," amid concerns over multiple disappearances in the area. The police continue their investigation into the disappearances and the circumstances surrounding Seema’s tragic death.
