Indian Embassy in Australia Vandalised in Melbourne, New Delhi Takes Swift Action

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Indian Consulate in Melbourne has been vandalized once again. Some miscreants wrote objectionable things on the walls of the Indian Consulate in Melbourne, Australia. After this incident, the Indian Foreign Ministry has strongly objected to the Australian government and has demanded immediate investigation and action against the culprits.

After the incident, the Indian High Commission in Canberra raised the issue with the Australian authorities. Such incidents have happened in this embassy earlier as well. During international tensions, provocative slogans were written on the walls here earlier as well. India has clearly stated that the security of Indian embassies in any country of the world is the responsibility of that country. The Ministry of External Affairs has taken this matter seriously and has asked Australia to take appropriate steps.

The Indian Embassy in Melbourne issued a statement on the social media platform 'X' and said that Australian authorities have been spoken to about this incident. The statement said, "All necessary steps are being taken to ensure the safety of Indian diplomatic and commercial premises and the staff working there."
