Ignore Social Media Rumors: Find Out the Official Date for Prayagraj Diversion Scheme
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): If you are planning to take a holy dip in the grand Mahakumbh organized in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, do not believe the rumors circulating on social media.
A false claim is being spread online stating that vehicle entry into Prayagraj is banned until February 4. However, District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandar has clarified that this news is completely baseless. He explained that a diversion scheme was temporarily implemented by the district and fair administration for Mauni Amavasya, but it is now being lifted by the police. There will be no restrictions on vehicle entry on January 31, February 1, and February 4. However, the diversion scheme will be in effect on February 2 and 3 for the Basant Panchami bath. The fair officer and DIG will provide specific details regarding the vehicle entry process in the fair area, and no restrictions have been imposed within the commissionerate area.
Meanwhile, on Friday, a large number of devotees gathered at Sangam Ghat, taking a holy dip and offering prayers early in the morning. Many were also seen returning home after their sacred bath. In preparation for the upcoming Basant Panchami bathing festival, health services in Mahakumbh Nagar are being further strengthened. Under the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, medical teams have been deployed across the fairgrounds. A total of 23 hospitals with a capacity of 360 beds have been set up to care for devotees. Senior medical officials conducted inspections across the fair area, ensuring the readiness of ambulances and emergency medical facilities.
