Muzaffarpur (The Uttam Hindu): Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) patron Mukesh Sahni, national president Santosh Sahni and leader of opposition in the assembly Tejashwi Yadav have been issued notices by the court of the Chief District and Sessions Judge in the case related to misuse of election symbol. The court has directed everyone to appear in person or through their advocate on May 6 and present their side. In case of absence, the court can pass an order by conducting a unilateral hearing.

On April 18 last year, Bharti Sarthak Party state president and advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha filed a complaint in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate. It was alleged that VIP leaders misused the “boat” election symbol by committing fraud and cheating.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate's court had dismissed the complaint after hearing. Against this, the advocate filed a revision petition (revision suit) in the court of the Chief District and Sessions Judge, which was accepted for hearing. After this, the court has issued notice to all the defendants and directed them to present their side.
