3km to Diljit's Dynamite Performance: Ludhiana Fans, Get Your Walking Shoes Ready
Ludhiana (The Uttam Hindu): Renowned Punjabi artist and international sensation Diljit Dosanjh is set to perform a live concert in his karmabhoomi, Ludhiana, on December 31. The event will kick off at 7 PM at the football ground of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). Preparations for the concert are in full swing, with the police administration taking extensive measures to ensure smooth execution.
To attend the concert, fans will need to park their vehicles in designated lots and either walk or use public transportation to cover a distance of 1 to 3 kilometers to the venue. Diljit will pay ₹20.65 lakh to the administration for hosting the show, including ₹4.50 lakh for setup and arrangements such as tents for the three-day event.
Massive Turnout Expected
An estimated 40,000 to 50,000 people are expected to attend the concert. To accommodate the influx, the administration is finalizing parking arrangements in government and private lots within a 1-3 kilometer radius of PAU. These include parking facilities at the DC Office, Judicial Complex, Jawahar Nagar Government School, Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan, Khalsa College, Government College for Girls, Government College for Boys, and several other institutions. Separate gates and parking areas have been designated for different ticket categories to streamline the entry process.
Traffic and Security Plans
To manage the anticipated crowd and ensure smooth traffic flow, the police department has devised diversion routes. Additional personnel from traffic and police stations will be deployed on special duties.
Possible VIP Attendance
There is speculation that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann might attend the concert. Before Diljit’s Chandigarh concert, he had a special meeting with the Chief Minister and his family at their residence, further fueling the possibility of the Chief Minister gracing the Ludhiana event. The police administration is making preparations accordingly.
Fans can look forward to an electrifying performance as Ludhiana gears up to celebrate New Year’s Eve with its favorite superstar.
