Update: 2024-12-10 15:01 GMT

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Troubles seem to be increasing for Sikh saint Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale. A new FIR has been filed against him with charges of rape and murder.

Punjab DGP submitted an affidavit in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. In which it is said that new charges have been added in the old case under FIR number 208 already registered in Patiala. Sections 302, 376 and 506 of the IPC have been included in this case. However, Dhandriyawala has denied all the allegations against him. He said that all the allegations against me are baseless, soon the truth will come out.

Along with this, let us also tell you that this case is of 2012, and it involves a 22-year-old girl from Karnal. Who had gone to Parmeshwar Dwar with her family. On 22 April 2012, the girl was found dead under suspicious circumstances. The postmortem report stated the presence of poison as the cause of death. However, the family alleged that the girl was raped and then killed by poisoning. Parmeshwar Dwar officials claimed that the girl died outside the premises and said that Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale was out of the country at that time. Later a petition was filed by the family members of the victim. In 2012, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had sought a reply in the case of murder of a girl at Parmeshwar Dwar. In this case, the brother of the deceased had filed a petition demanding direction to investigate the case by CBI or SIT headed by a senior IPS. Serious allegations were made against Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale in the petition. However, Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale had then completely rejected these allegations.
