CBI raids the house of former MLA Durgesh Pathak, AAP targets BJP

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has once again accused the central government of misusing central investigation agencies. Party leader Saurabh Bhardwaj on Thursday claimed through social media that the central government has started using the CBI to intimidate AAP leaders.

The latest case is related to Durgesh Pathak, who has recently been appointed as the co-in-charge of Aam Aadmi Party for Gujarat Assembly Elections 2027. Just a few days after being appointed as the co-in-charge, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided his house on Thursday morning. Aam Aadmi Party has termed this incident as an act of political revenge.

Saurabh Bhardwaj said in a post on X, "In the last Gujarat elections, the BJP got our leaders arrested because it was afraid of the strong presence of the Aam Aadmi Party. Now that Durgesh Pathak has been given the responsibility of Gujarat, the CBI has been put after him."

Aam Aadmi Party issued a statement from its official social media handle and said, "CBI has reached the house of Gujarat's co-incharge Durgesh Pathak. The central government has adopted every trick to finish off Aam Aadmi Party, but still they are not at peace. BJP's condition is getting worse in Gujarat. As soon as Durgesh Pathak was given the responsibility there, BJP got upset."

AAP also said that BJP is now seeing Aam Aadmi Party as a major opposition force in Gujarat and that is why it is scared. According to the party, this raid is an indication that BJP is scared of the continuous expansion of AAP.

Atishi said through a social media post that as soon as Aam Aadmi Party started preparing for Gujarat elections, CBI raided the house of Gujarat co-incharge Durgesh Pathak! Only AAP can challenge BJP in Gujarat and this raid shows their panic! In all these years, BJP did not understand that we are not going to be scared of their threats.

Manish Sisodia said through a social media post that as soon as he was given the responsibility of Gujarat elections 2027, CBI raid was done at Durgesh Pathak's house! This is not a coincidence, this is a conspiracy born out of BJP's fear. BJP knows that now only Aam Aadmi Party can challenge them in Gujarat and this truth has shaken them. The echo of fear is clearly heard in the knock of CBI.
