Bolero Crash in Damoh Turns Fatal : 8 Lose Lives After Vehicle Falls Into River
Damoh (The Uttam Hindu): Eight people died in a tragic road accident in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh. The accident took place on the Mahadev Ghat bridge near Simri village on Banwar road under Nohta police station area, where an uncontrolled Bolero car fell into the Sonar river.
As soon as the information about the accident was received, the local police and administration team immediately reached the spot and started the rescue operation. Efforts were made to remove the people trapped in the vehicle. According to the information, all the people in the Bolero are said to be residents of different villages of Jabalpur district. These people were returning to their village Pauri Katangi (Jabalpur) after visiting Bandakpur, when this accident happened.
Those who died in the accident included Laug Bai, Halki Bai, Sampat Bai, Guddi Bai, Rachna, Tamanna (aged around 10 to 15 years), Shibbu father Hari (aged 8 to 10 years, resident of Dungaria) and Baijanti Bai.
Some people have also been injured in this accident, including Rajjo Singh (age 55 years, resident of Pauri), Vaibhav Singh father Devendra (age 12 years), Ayush (Baharghat, Jabalpur), Ankit father Rajjo Singh and Ravindra father Domain (age 22 years, resident of Bijori). After first aid, all the seriously injured have been referred to Jabalpur by creating a green corridor for better treatment.
