Big Boost for Farmers! PM Dhan Dhanya Yojana Announced in Budget 2025

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a new scheme for farmers in the budget presented today. This scheme has been named Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Yojana. Under this scheme, 1.7 crore farmers will be benefited by working in collaboration with the states.

The Finance Minister made it clear in his speech that in this budget, special attention has been given to the betterment of the poor, youth, women and farmers. Along with development in the agricultural sector, development of rural areas, promotion of the manufacturing sector, emphasis will also be laid on reforms in the financial sector.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Yojana, 1.7 crore farmers will be benefited in 100 districts of the country. This scheme will be run with the joint efforts of the central and state governments. To provide more facilities to the farmers, the limit of Kisan Credit Card has been increased to Rs 5 lakh. A new mission will be launched to promote cotton production and new urea factories will be set up in the country to provide urea to the farmers. All these initiatives will help in increasing the income of farmers and strengthening the agriculture sector.
