"After Pahalgam Attack, Pakistanis Banned from Char Dham Yatra; 77 Pilgrims Denied Entry"

After the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the central government has imposed a ban on Pakistani citizens' participation in the Char Dham Yatra for security reasons. Following this decision, 77 Pakistani Hindu pilgrims who had registered for the pilgrimage will now be unable to participate. The Char Dham Yatra has garnered significant enthusiasm from devotees, with over 21 lakh registrations so far. A total of 24,729 foreign nationals have registered for the pilgrimage, with 77 of them from Pakistan.

In light of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the government has taken a strong stance. After the attack, the central government swiftly decided not to allow Pakistani pilgrims to participate in the Yatra. This decision has been made as a precautionary measure due to security concerns. This year, over 100 countries have registered pilgrims to take part in the Char Dham Yatra.

The administration has already initiated the process of sending the Pakistani citizens back safely to their country. In addition, the state government has enhanced security arrangements to ensure the safety of other foreign pilgrims.

It is worth mentioning that the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand is scheduled to begin on April 30. Preparations for the pilgrimage are in the final stages. As every year, millions of devotees are expected to visit the holy shrines of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. Helicopter services for Kedarnath will commence on May 2, when the doors of the shrine will be opened.
