6.1 Magnitude Quake Shakes One More Region, Unexpected Jolts Elsewhere

Kathmandu (The Uttam Hindu): A 6.1 magnitude earthquake shook several regions in the early hours of Friday, causing panic among residents. The tremors, originating from the epicenter in the central Himalayan region, were felt across multiple areas, waking people from their sleep. The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center recorded the quake at 2:51 AM (local time), with its impact reaching beyond the epicenter.  

While there have been no immediate reports of injuries or major damage, local authorities are closely monitoring the situation. The tremors were also felt in border regions of neighboring countries, raising concerns about potential aftershocks. Officials continue to assess the affected areas to determine the full extent of the impact.
