Patiala(The Uttam Hindu): The farmers' protest at the Shambhu and Khanauri borders continues, with no resolution in sight. At Khanauri border, farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal's indefinite hunger strike entered its 50th day on Tuesday. Doctors have expressed concern over his deteriorating health, with reports indicating that Dallewal is now facing difficulty speaking.

In a significant development, farmers at the Khanauri border have announced that 111 farmers will begin an indefinite hunger strike on Wednesday. The hunger strike, set to commence at 2 PM, will see the farmers sitting peacefully near police barricades, wearing black clothes as a symbol of their protest. The protest will be led by leaders from the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), a non-political farmers' organization. The protest continues to gain momentum, with farmers determined to press for their demands, signaling the persistence of the unrest at the borders.
